I have been having a peruse around to see what options there are for some additional lighting for the darker evenings under our Fiamma F45 awning.

A bit on the pricey side but looking neat a permanently attached, I'm considering the Fiamma awning case LED lights.

Those of you that have them or have had them, what is your opinion of them, are they worth the money and how much light do they chuck out as the photo Fiamma uses in their product blurb does not give the impression that they are very bright.

The basic kit comprises of 5 sections, one of which is power from the 12 volt supply. Can this powered section be placed anywhere within the run of 5 or does it have to be at one end or the other.

Are they easy to fit or a pain in the proverbial.

Thinking of just attaching a length of waterproof led lights from eBay at about £6 all in, could even do colour changing if you fancy a disco!

Yes, don't worry, your already in the frame to have more of my money if I go ahead with the Fiamma awning case lights. (y)

We have a 4 metre awning so will need the main kit of 5 strips plus an addition 2 x 500mm lengths to get what we want and they ain't cheap and if they don't come up to snuff then I'm going to get it in the earhole big time so I'm after feedback from those that have them on their van to make my decision to buy or not.
The reason I was leaning towards the Fiamma awning case lights is once they are fitted that there is no faffing about getting them out fixing them in place and then dragging them down and putting them away each time you want lighting in the awning as I will have to do with many of the others available.

I fitted 3 one meter lengths of LED lights to he case of my 4 meter awning purchased them at one of the shows. They were wired and switched to the 12v supply. They gave a satisfactory light within the awning except for reading.

Living the dream.
We used this from Aten lighting in Melton Mowbray. They are 8-30v waterproof and self adhesive (3m), not the cheap Chinese ones and come with a remote on off and dimmer fob. Made to measure, ask for Saul if you ring them
