My review of the FG140F JUNCTEK battery monitor gauge, very useful gauge and comes with Bluetooth mobile app to setup and monitor. Also has built in battery protect for voltage/current protection and temp protection. Not bad for the price tag £45

What is the Android app that is used with this please?

The app should be the first url which is what I used the second URL I believe it the files for the building of the app if you are a developer

The .apk file isn't the files needed to build the app if you are a developer.

It is an Android package file, which you can use to install the app on an Android device, in a process called sideloading.

Installing the app this way bypasses the Google Play store, which means it still works if you have a phone that doesn't have the Google Play store or if the app is removed in the future from the store. The downside is that security is lower, because the APK file you download doesn't get checked at all by Google.

Which is why you usually need to explicitly turn on the sideloading feature and on some phones you can't turn it on at all (without major messing about that 99% of people are never going to do).

It is probably a good idea in this case to download that APK file and hang onto it, in case the app gets removed for the Google Play Store in the future.

Little update in this gauge from the manufacturers

On the next firmware update they will be looking at adding the following changes
1. scaling on data graph on app will be adjustable
2. Low-capacity reminders can be set on App
3. Low temperature protection via an external relay can be set.

They are also looking at redesigning the shunt housing to make it better to secure in place

Nice to know this manufacturer listens to customer feedback and acts quickly on any good ideas
