Just looking at booking trip to France in September and have a few questions that you may know the answer to.

1. P&O can you use tesco clubcard vouchers on P&O ferries with a motorhome.
2. When booking using clubcard vouchers do you get the same price as shown on the online booking.
We have tried the P&O helpline number and it is closed due to COVID

Any advice greatly appre

The last time we used tesco vouchers they were first converted at the tesco card side x3 value. You obtained a code then had to phone to use the vouchers but the price was the same less the voucher value. But this was via the tunnel. (y)

I did a google search for tesco vouchers for P&O which states

Voucher codes can be used for:

- Cairnryan to Larne, Saver and Flexible tickets for one way and long stays over 5 days only.

- Dover to Calais, Saver fares for one way and long stays over 5 days only.

Voucher codes can only be used for cars, high cars, motorcyles and motorcyle combinations.

The maximum value of voucher codes that can be used on a P&O Ferries booking is £210 for a return journey or £105 for a single journey.

Voucher codes can't be used in conjunction with promotional offers, day trip tickets, foot passengers from Dover to Calais, vans/motorhomes if towing caravans or trailers, or minibuses, or towards the value of additional extras including Club lounge, priority loading and Flexi ticket upgrades.

It does state they can't be used where a motorhome or van is towing as we don't tow anything then may try it

We have used them for channel tunnel bookings. P and O wouldn’t take them last year.
You have to phone Tesco club card direct for a code then do the booking online.

As gillnphil say.

We have used them with the Tunnel for over 15 years. Never a problem.

You can change the date of travel after your original booking too.

We always book out and return. We are usually on the correct date for outward travel but then change the return as circumstances suggest.

Sorry if I appear thick but P and O motorhome NO okay with everything BUT a motorhome The tunnel ok with clubcard and motorhome? That was what I understood before this thread, if things have changed as I said please do tell!

Wish I hadn't checked the tesco club card site now. It does state unless I am reading it totally wrong that clubcard vouchers cannot be used if a van/motorhome is towing. So if you are a campervan/motorhome that isn't towing you can.

As the helpline is closed for P&O I cannot verify that what is shown on the tesco clubcard site is wrong or right. The info I posted above is copied from tesco clubcard.

I would just ring Eurotunnel. Only problem I ever had was tried to book a return after going out on ferry. All journeys must start at Folkestone for some reason?

They will tell you what’s accepted and what’s not. They say pets aren’t included either but mine was.

On the tunnel you can use them for motorhome but any trailer or dog have to be paid for extra, if you want a return you have to book it at the time of booking the outward trip , but this can be altered when you want to return.
You can book a single but then you can't use your Tesco vouchers to get back.
Sounds complicated but once you have done it , it's simple.
Don't think you can use them on ferry.

You can use them on the ferry
but its a complicated process and you have to email them the voucher code before you book. We've just tried this and got a message back saying they are currently responding to email from 4th July and we need to book today so having to pay full wack this time!

Thank you for your post. It is helpful for the future. I always gave up reading it. As motorhomes were not covered in the first part it never occurred to me that they were included, ours is a PVC so it looks like we’d be fine as long as we didn’t tow which we don’t.

Could anyone advise how long a tunnel/Tesco voucher is valid for please?

I am under the impression that having converted your Tesco tokens. You can make a booking with euro tunnel, but you can’t travel for 2 weeks.

Thanks for that👍 Also, is there a time limit on the voucher you get after changing your Tesco points?

Sorry can’t help you on that one. I just know about the 2 week wait before you can travel. That’s based on experience.

We don't convert ours till we are ready to book, no need you can do it in ten minutes on line

Yes, about 3 months from memory? - that's 3 months to use it though the crossing could be far longer ahead. If you can't use it within that time, contact Tesco and request them to cancel and re-issue the voucher.
