We are considering having a new dog and wondered if any ferry crossing to France have dog friendly cabins as I do not want to do Bilbao or Santander, or would the tunnel be our only option. Thanks

If your not time constrained (working) take to tunnel and amble

The Caen ferry which we took from Portsmouth, this year, had dog-friendly cabins. We didn't use one as our dog is very happy to stay in the van.

We take the Tunnel with our pooch and it's quick, easy & stress free for all concerned.

No Seriously if your not time constrained there is a lot to see and enjoy through France.

Not Made it to Spain always found things to see/do without going that far.

Last Spring did 7 weeks in France. Started down the east side, well sort of. Planned to go to Slavonia BUT tolls on a Tag/Tandem axle MH were a bit eyewatering so.. carried on, hit the Med, turned right and a bit later turned right again and ambled back up through the centre of France back to Calais.

Weather was generally brilliant. Admit we walked in May across the beach on the Med near Narbonne in the same gear we'd walked around in January in the uk.

just enjoy whatever.

If your off to Dover it’s a short journey, the dog stays in your MH. I too would say tunnel, 35 mins, your in the MH with the dog. Brill.

We took Newcastle to Ijmuden last year and it was approx 7 euros overnight. Mine was the only dog in cages that night.
