Received an email from Direct Ferries to say my booking from Palma Mallorca to Gandia nr Valencia has been cancelled and to call the phone number on my booking confirmation - that I didn't receive! - to arrange another sailing

There website says you can call but then does the 'usual' - no phone number, they just want you to do stuff online.

They also say that they cannot transfer funds to a different ferry operator -

I've just checked availability and the other ferry operator is considerably cheaper, but still more than my original ticket

I paid Direct Ferries by debit card - can I get a refund and then make my own booking (with the cheaper operator) ?

try 01473 370910 or 020 7490 7737 first one is customer service

Always pay with a credit card. Extra protection. Have they offered a refund?

Thanks ?
...................I am currently no 5 in the queue

Re-booked on an earlier fast ferry - means a night in a hotel (not in MH this time) but sorted

Thanks pagey and well done Direct Ferries :clap2:

If you'd paid using a credit card rather than a debit card and the ticket was more than £100, you'd have the protection of s75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and could go against the provider of the credit card as well as the ferry company for breach of contract (you couldn't recover twice). As a general rule, use a credit card rather than a debit card ( as stated by Ex-Gasman above).

Edit: glad you got it sorted!
