Following with interest as heading up for 3 months 19th June sailing to Holland. I would be interested in your thoughts from your knowledge re going up to Nordcap through Sweden Finland first, or do Norway first in June/July then start heading south August via Finland/Sweden more re the weather etc. TIA

Me I like to start bottom of Norway then all the way up North then into Finland not doing much of Finland this time and then into Sweden to go back down. However I don't think it would make much difference if you do it Sweden Finland and then Norway.

Thank you. Seeing you go up Norway at this time of year has made me re think and as our first time and may try and catch better weather in Norway before hitting Finland. Enjoy and safe travels

Wow! thanks that’s great info we met a couple at Gibraltar then bumped into them again in Portugal who we keep in contact with and they live on an island north of Gothenburg so will contact them and stop on way up instead of back as planned.

Making my way down through Sweden only spent 1 night in Finland been in Sweden 5 nights so far weather been good had some really heavy showers today but didn't last long. We had the night of the Mosquitoes 2 nights ago woke up at 2 with a mosquitoe sucking the life out of me took me till 5 to exterminate them .Parked up here for the night Flasjostrands on the E45 may spend 2 nights depending on the weather.
