Said farewell today. Have been to most European moto gp on it, Nord Cap in 2009. Sadly as I have got older its weight has become an issue especially when two up with the wife.
For a number of years we have done the European trips with a Suzuki Burgman 200 behind the van on a trailer. However, after a lot of discussion we decided to let it go.
The problem the scooter does not do it for us, as it is not a "proper" motorcycle. The solution has been found in a new Triumph Trident 660, which we have ordered for delivery next year (I dont do motorcycling in the winter any more). The new bike being nearly a hundredweight lighter.
