Question to be answered please.

I have to jump through the hoop of Medical and eyesight test before the start of May this year to maintain my licence.

If I go to the Opticians within three months of my Birthday, will this 'do' for the purpose of the continuation of the licence or will I have to go through it all over again.

My requirement to know the answer is that I do wish to get new specs and don't want to wait until May.

Regards

I went to Specsavers and when I made the appointment, I told them there & then that I wanted the eye examination for my driving licence renewal at 70 and did not want any specs, only the prescription and the examiner to complete & sign page 2 of the form D4.
"No problem" came the reply.

You will of course have to have a paper copy of form D4 to take with you which can be obtained from DVLA.

Derek, because I have to have a yearly eye test I took the form along to my opticians and they just filled it in. I’d had a recent eye test though.
