I'm a newbie
Hi all.
Can anyone advise me on where I can get a replacement external rear ladder. Just the bottom section. It's for a Caravans International 141 Riviera Lux. 2002 model.
I don't mind if it's new or used.
I lost mine! Somewhere near Amneville France. I've attached a couple of pictures to show the fitting.

Many thanks.

Not sure on ladder model but have you tried O’Learys Motorhome parts, John Cross, Fiamma store in fact if you google your ladder in you know it, you might get the actual part instead of having to buy a new complete one.

Had 2 vans with rear ladders - never used either

I doubt it you'll be able to buy a new part due to the age of the MH and replacing it totally won't be cheap or particularly easy, however if you're willing to carry the 'bottom' part inside you could look at just using a short telescopic one, a 'bunk' ladder, or even a step ladder.

Will you actually use it? Only been on the roof to reseal and put solar, sat on.

I doubt you'd be able to buy just the lower section even if they were still manufactured, and being somewhat aged, I'd doubt they are still made.
You might have to cobble together a work around unless you can find a second hand one somewhere but not something you see for sale much.
How high up is the lowest rung, you might be able to just use a hop up step of some kind ?

I suggest using a step ladder that you can tether the top rail to the rear ladder to ensure it is stable

would also be concerned that losing the bottom section may have caused a crash

Thanks for that. I've got a couple of numbers to call. The lowest rung is too high to just jump up. As a few people have mentioned, I could use a step ladder.
