Since the lifting of lockdown here in North Kent we witness a daily exodus of residents from the Metropolis desperate to secure a few grains of sand on the beach upon which to take up daily residence. Having staked their claim they then proceed to get totally rat .... ed with booze, ignore any form of social distancing and deposit their litter and waste to be cleared up by others. I did see today a suggested proposal to ban travel beyond the M25 boundary is infection rates require. What a good idea. No doubt when the money trees have ceased to fruit and unemployment rises normality may return.

Is your boundary to keep others from crossing into London keeping people safe inside. Or stopping others from experiencing your rural bliss.

Is that the rural bliss that visitors seem to be trashing?

Many of these are of the same generation as those upset at being forced to cancel holidays or return early from Magaluf etc. as a result of the quarantine requirement on folk returning from Spain.
The expert advisors still haven't realised that you can't rely upon a large proportion of people using common sense.

Think COMMON SENSE disappeared with the growth of Universities,,:LOL: BUSBY.

Centre of Brighton on hot sunny weekends is a no go area because of all the drunken London'ers.

Need a big barbed wire fence with lookout towers and armed guards around London to stop them from getting out.:giggle:
I'm a 4th generation Brightonian. My ex Royal Navy grandfather was the Police Beach Inspector and Superintendent in the 1930's, supervising the fishing boats, visitors and seaside traders.

I lived in and worked there for my first 25 years but although I now live in a village 12 miles away I only go into Brighton once a year on the motorbike for the Ace Café bikers' reunion on the seafront. Even with my free bus pass I've not been tempted to go there at any other time during the past 15 years.

Yes I saw that but unless you are going to police it as here ,with all the exits blocked off & policed it will never work if you are going to rely on people complying voluntarily.

Why aren't they all back working /at school if they can go out,not maintain sd & lack of ppe?
We really need to start again & hope 500k is the lower limit.(y)

You have the best idea. I've been a few times as daughter lives there but I stay up in Ditchling.

You paint a grim picture gus. I live in the metropolis I can honestly say I've not seen life as you portray it. Where are you getting your information from. Everyone is covered up and practising SD. As we speak I am sitting in Luton which you know is a hot spot, yet again plenty of masks and SD.

Better Idea would be to use it as an Atomic Bomb testing area while Maj is at Sandringham of course

My daughter ,her partner, Ma-in-law, bro-in-laws & families, friends, my mate who delivers vehicles all over the UK from devon each day.

Daughter lives in Brighton works for the NHs ,fortunately from home at the moment. Refuses to go out due to the lack of anything being adhered to ,the lack of ppe, social distancing.Doubt she has been out more than 6 or 7 times since March.

Not visited Brighton since all this started but had to carry on as normal throughout. My partner has been at work on the front line at our general hospital without a single day off so things for all of us have gone on as normal without isolation or lock down. I think your view on peoples approach to safety doesn't bare witness to what I see on a daily bases and we do some traveling around the south east. Including Bournemouth and south end.on sea
