Well the day is almost (finally) upon us. Having paid the deposit on our new Dethleffs Globetrotter over 4 months ago, tomorrow we finally collect it from the dealers. Talk about being excited !!! I feel like I am a small child about to go to bed on Christmas eve knowing Santa will bring me a shiny new toy!! Our son is picking us up at 6:30am for the drive to Essex to collect the van - cannot wait! Wonder if I will sleep tonight???

I cannot remember being like that when I was to pick up my current, ans first and only MH 11 years ago. Maybe I was thinking more about sllecting £20k cashe from the branch of my bank in Eastbourne and handing it over to the seller. I have never held that amount of money in my hand before.

Thanks everyone, your messages of support are lovely and appreciated. We just arrived back home after our handover and 5 hour training session with Fliss! Excellent day, van everything we ever wanted and more! Been a long day for us both, so heading for the hills shortly, knackered. A few photos of the van and the good lady wife, Irene driving it

Looks a nice motorhome. By the time you have found places to put everything and moved them several times, we are still moving things around, it will be time we are allowed out properly.
A night on the drive to christen it is good fun even if the naibors think you’re mad.
