Just tried to book ticket online but system didn’t recognise our registration number then said if AGW over 3500kg to call to book on ad freight ... we are upplated to 3850kg ... is that right you can’t book online?

If I remember correctly you just state you are a campervan manually. No different if over or under 3500kg

Or length, just check in as campervan.

DO NOT book as freight. Our MGW is 4500kg and we always book on line, on the same site as the cars go on, i.e. www.eurotunnel.com. If it does not recognise your reg number click on the link to "type and size", then choose the Campervan option and then provide your length.

Ok thanks ... booked! Would poss have got discount via CAMC on Monday but slots going fast so fingers crossed quarantines lifted but of not we will rebook for October ...

Just book as camper van. No length, width, height or weight restrictions.

We are booked for Thursday and are 4000kg. If booked as campervan no limit on weight or length. They have recently started asking about length but thats to aid loading and makes no difference to price.

All motorhomes are car booking , you are in the wrong site area if it will not take your details,ring them with booking problems.

We booked the MH on freight once, carrying freight, and were refused by the duty officer as the bodywork 'was to high a calorific value' Had to go tourist even though they always say they're not allowed to carry freight on tourist trains.

Yes, we are booked on Tunnel early August and places are going fast.

The only time we have had problems regarding freight/tourist traffic on the Tunnel was when coming back from France using our truck type SatNav. It took us towards the freight loading area. Luckily we spotted it in time and were able to turn out again without embarrassment but losing a little bit of valuable time as we were already running a bit late.

Has anyone else tried to find this offer, I have just been to the tunnel site and it looks as if it's being overwhelmed, not working.

Does anyone use Ferry Savers? We used them last year for the tunnel and were very very competitive compared with Euro-tunnel direct. Just did a quick quote for September (16 - 26) and were quoted £227 return for 8m van. Thought that was pretty good value. Nice late afternoon crossing times too.

Glad you secured your booking.

Much prefer booking direct, rather than through a third party, even if that means missing a bit of discount. Normally much easier to make any amendments direct rather than via CAMC, who may make an admin charge. Also not available 24/7, as is the case with direct online reservations.
