I just got a one way travel from France back to UK 3rd July in the morning for 125 quid on the tunnel, obviously with 8 months notice (no vouchers used)

I made the "mistake" of going onto one of those ferry savers sites and it was only 10 quid more expensive than DFDS. We grabbed it. (8 m motorhome category) as I think that is quite a good, unexpected, price

I tried for our August departure but it was back to normal pricing for the tunnel.

Also got what I think is quite a good price for Harwich - Hook for 175 one way in June after the Brightlingsea/Thorpe Le soken/Swaffham

Unfortunately, DFDS wouldnt give me discount for January (Newhaven) as I m not 60 at time of booking for January to March. "Speak to you next week" as that would be 40 quid saving

Which ferry saver site do you recommend?

We have looked at it, we thought we would do 3 months/3 months.

But going away in January for 3 months means we cant go again til July for 3 months (which is ideal apart from helping out with babysitting)

We have booked up for 3 rallies, one after the other, near to Harwich, so we thought, why not. Pop over to Northern Holland/Germany for a month in June as we will be next to the ferry.

So now we will do 60 days/30 days/60 days. But fill up with some rallies and still help out with Grumpkids/Mother.

So we have exchanged a November and January (we dont go til near February) for a June and a few rallies and pay for an extra crossing and a bit more diesel.

Its a work in progress ! We might not go as far South in Spain for Feb/March now, but will probably follow the heat. And next year we can see how we get on with this or do 90/90

Clever planning!

I did email Blue Light Card to see if they could explore obtaining discounts on the Harwich crossing but haven't received any response yet.
