Turn engine over? Best practice for our Euro 6 Merc engine? No driving just warm up. Someone advised that newer engines with a diesel particulate filter could clog up outweighing the benifits. Not a issue for older diesel engines.

As Fontie says, DPFs don’t like unburnt diesel on their elements. If you’re fortunate enough to have software to do forced regens then this would work although it would take a while to get the engine hot enough to do the operation. I may do one soon on my Ducato using MES as I’ve only been doing short trips for a few weeks. Trouble is exhaust gets to 600 deg so need somewhere safe to do it

Diesel engines suffer with regular driveway startups and particulate filters soon block up.
Take them for a minimum 20 mile round trip keeping the revs high at times. Frequent runs also help the tyres.
If you can't do that then just leave the vehicle alone.

Ditto above, leave it unstarted OR a midnight stealth blast at high revs
Nowt in between
