Currently the van is drained down. Discovered I had a beeping noise inside the van which I am pretty sure is the "empty water tank" acoustic signal. It was only when we drained down for winter that the tank had been completely emptied without immediately refilling, since we had the van earlier this year.
We have a CBE PC220-HE control panel.
Firstly I thought it only sounded when the panel was on, but have now discovered it also sounds when the panel is of.
Took the van for a run today, beeping every couple of minutes, really annoying.
Have searched the instruction booklet for the panel, and it seems that buried in the User Settings is a way of Activating/deactivating acoustic alarms.
I hate changing default settings - largely because I am never quite sure of the unintended consequences.
It would seem that there are also alarms on the cab & leisure batteries - alarms go on if battery drops to under 12v and stops when back up to 12.5v.
I think if I deactivate the acoustic signals, it applies to all of them. I think the flashing symbols that go with the alarms would stay on, but only when the panel is on.
I regularly check the battery readings, which with the solar panel & occasional hook up are doing OK.
If I turn the acoustic alarms off, am I going to find problems somewhere else? I assume the leisure battery is "running" the alarm, so presumably as it is going all the time, it is drawing on the battery.
Does this make any sense?

There is an option in the settings menu on our CBE panel to 'turn off tones' which only turns off the annoying alarm buzzer. The graphics for water, battery etc are still displayed correctly and flash the low symbols aswell as turn the green OK button to red not OK
