Good evening guys,
At the start of the year I fitted a second hand B2200 Dometic air con unit to my van. Initially it went pop and on inspection it turns out the pcb had shorted out due to a buildup of dust and debris on the pcb tracks.
With help from guys on here I was able to do a repair and got it working ok.
I`ve not used it this year for obvious reasons but I tested it regularly and it worked fine.
Recently I noticed the led mains on indicator was not lit.
I put the multi meter on the pcb mains connection and got 230 volts. I changed the main fuse but still not working.
I then beefed up the earlier repair but still no good.
So my question is, would a decent electronics repairer likely be able to identify a faulty component on the pcb ?
I have used a local guy in the past who seems fairly good, but mostly TV and washer repairs, and I doubt he has any experience of Dometic air con.
Maybe it`s junk, but I`d like one last go at fixing it if possible.
TIA
