Does anyone with knowledge of electricals know if it is possible to mod my MH so that the step opens and retracts on unlocking / locking ?
It already auto- retracts when I start the engine!

Depending which make and model as well as base vehicle if it is an Autotrail a lot of the earlier ones, mine is a 2016, there is a facility on the control panel to alter this setting.
I only found this out by Sargent sending me a data sheet about another query which also included this.

My Autotrail Mohawk 2016 has a facility to do this on the control panel over the door. I took mine off When i damaged step which came out onto my outside step, came to a dead stop and sheared the drive pin. Fortunately not drastic to replace.

Hi, Thanks for your reply and info !

Love your ' handle' - our first M/H was a Mohawk which we loved !!

It's step was controlled by the key fob (also had a switch) and I was hoping to replicate that.
Sadly Sargent tell me their wiring loom on Imalas don't support the function, so my badly worded question should have made clear I wondered if it could be done 'outside of' the existing set-up.
I'm just being lazy really
