Rally Edinburgh Drum Estate 4 - 9 June 2020

I have booked the rally field at Drum Estate, Danderhall - just outside Edinburgh for a second year.

It will be the same cost, (£40 for advance bookings and payment, £50 for people who sign up / pay late) as last year - assuming we have 30 paid attendees - for the 5 nights. Maximum number of units is 40, the same cost if you stay one night or all five. Any surplus will go to The Scottish Air Ambulance Charity

There is fresh water, disposal facilities and easy access to Edinburgh. No shower block or ECU although a few of us will have generators for emergency use.

You are in for a treat! The site is on the outskirts of Edinburgh* and on a bus route with buses from the gate of the estate every 10 minutes or so right to North Bridge / Princes Street and the route crosses The Royal Mile.

Only bus passes issued by Scottish Local Authorities work in Scotland but the day ticket on Lothian Buses is good value if you are planning to do more than two journeys.

It's very much a OIY (organise it yourself) rally as there is so much to see and do in Edinburgh you may well go in every day and wander round by yourself or with another Funster.

On Saturday evening we will have a bring and share meal and social as 2020 is a special anniversary year twice over for Martin and I.

Closer to the date I will post events that are taking place over the weekend of the rally - so far I have the 6th is the Whisky Festival plus some of the special exhibits and events at the museums and galleries.

I also have a list of things to do for free in Edinburgh that I did last year.

*Slightly closer in than Sheriffhall P&R.
