Hi. Taken heater off and replaced a few parts. Is it possible to run the heater to check its working without putting it back on the motorhome first? Cheers-Diolch. Daf

If it’s 12v I can’t see why not connected to a battery.

Cheers Realist. Would i just put the fuel pipe into a container with diesel?

On some Eberspachers (perhaps all) there is a inline fuel pump so as long as this was connected too.......beware, some parts will get very hot.

you have to have the pump and controller connected as thats what controls the burner
usual way to test them is mounted on a workmate or similar

If you have all the parts, heater, fuel pump, controller and wiring loom to connect it up there is no problem testing it outside the vehicle. I've done it many times.
Connect it up electrically and fuel feed via pump (and fuel filter if you wish) and let it pump from a container. Remember not to run it with the glow pin on the low side, best supported with the exhaust facing down, a combustion air pipe and exhaust pipe would be nice but not essential.
