Easy way of finding availability for CLs and CSs?

Yes we are both working too and have to ring them up as well, im not aware of any easier method.

I did see one that had their availability showing on their website and when or if you booked it automatically updated.

If you use dare I say FB and I only use it for private groups and nothing more, there's a fantastic private group for CL's. You have to be a C&MC member to join the group, CLBooking Group.

Often try email and Facebook msg, but email often ignored when we ask about it the response is usually '...oh, no we don't use email much...' .

So phone but even that's a bit tedious as sometimes leave msg and no call back to confirm, invariably turn up anyway and all ok.

No easy centralised way that I'm aware of. I agree that it can be time-consuming for all the reasons stated above.

Thanks ... I suppose it’s not cost effective to have a centralised system but it would make all the difference ... even if you paid in full up front it would be good.

Would not think a cl owner would earn enough to make it worth while when a phone, pen and a diary does it for a fraction of the cost. Most cl sites are a sideline not a major source of income.

Yes, I think you’re correct, and not big earner for CAMC or CCC either so they’ll not want to push it ...

As others have said they are small businesses if I ran one I doubt if I would bother with doing it on the net if they can fill it most of the time. We have a holiday let its a right pain taking internet booking it means that the diary has to be constantly updated online and quite a few book then have a lot of queries then change their minds etc.

And this is where the FB group I mentioned earlier comes into it's own, if you use FB that is

I personally hate FB and consequently I've locked all privacy settings right down so not even my wife can message me However, FB private groups can be a fantastic resource and is the only reason I have a FB presence.

Thanks very much for this info. I hardly ever use FB and was totally unaware of this group but have already found it very useful. Used the Late Availability announcements to book a very nice looking CL over the Bank Holiday weekend. Saved me an awful lot of ringing round.
