Dusseldorf Caravan Salon 2019 thread (1 Viewer)

I know a few “funsters” are going to the show Lenny HB how about we have a thread running so if anybody finds a voucher for 25% off new Morelo’s or just something interesting we could post it all in one place, we could also use it to meet up on an evening at the camping or in town. Anybody going for the first time and have questions ask away as some of us have been a few times.

I will kick this off, we are on the Hull Zeebrugge ferry Sat 24th August and making our way slowly to Dusseldorf for the Sunday evening 1st September, we are booked into the Salon camping for 5 Nights ? we have 2 days show tickets so far so that will be Monday and Tuesday.

alex n are you still going but not on the camping area.

We are in Belgium at the moment heading down to the Mosel.
We will be there Sunday, show tickets for Mon & Tues.
As I mentioned eairler phehaps we could get together in the Marquee and get Jim to bag a table with Fun flags.

We are going but flying out just for 2 night stay and then back again. Underground and DLR to London City Airport from front door more or less, so no brainer for us. Looking forward to it.

It's looking like we will be there on Sunday too. Haven't booked tickets yet though. Going to look at the weather nearer the date before we commit. It would be great to meet up with you, Martin and Jen. Also, to meet LennyHB, who gave me such useful advice when we bought from Campirama.

Fingers crossed be done tommorow so havnt booked any crossings or anything yet just waiting to hear. Time of work is booked that is all was thinking of maybe crossing from Newhaven but bit sceptical of ferry as had bad experiance Many years ago in a front wheel drive van towing a trailer up the ferry ramps.

Been using it a couple of times a year for a few years now, not had any problems been on the upper deck a few times. We used the chunnel this time as Newhaven expensive in August even with the 20% discount and tunnel only 10 quid dearer than Dover ferry.

I am however going across the channel has any of you well travelled and I formed Funster know where I could get my omnistor awning/canopy looked at ? Someone like Rose awnings but in Belgium Holland or Germany ?

Following Lenny HB at the moment as we are at Thieu, missed the turn at the services as the sat nav took a hissy so went back out and did the next junction all OK in the end.
