Hi Folks
I have a Sunlight Cliff 2018 campervan Ducato PVC
I wanted to open the van today via central locking/electronic key fob but it won’t function. Changed the lithium battery for an identical one but still no go.
Is the immobiliser armed without it being set by the central locking e fob?
Any advice gratefully received!
Thanks
Graham

Hi
Yes I can open the door manually - but want make sure the immobiliser and alarm is set .

The immobiliser is armed when the key comes out the ignition.
On my ford ,which, has only the drivers door lock, if you wish to double lock as you can with a double press of the remote locking button , you can do it with the key turned to the locking position twice rapidly.
No idea how the alarm would be set?

Thanks!

Try putting the key in the ignition, turning on the ignition, then while the ignition still turned on, press the lock and then unlock on the remote, switch off, take the key out and try normal locking and unlocking with your remote.

thanks, problem solved - took earth lead off and let power drain out of battery.
Earth lead on the cab battery? I have similar issue on my Peugeot Boxer based van. Fob stopped working though key in lock and turning operates the central locking.
Have tried Two on Tour suggestion as well, to no effect. New fob battery as well.😕

Hi Ingwe - my garage did it for me. you need to take the earth lead off the van battery, and then leave it for ten minutes. Then put it back on again.
