Hey team,
If you're keen to get an idea of what it's like to drive a Campervan down the old gotthard pass in Switzerland - then we've uploaded a video which may interest you. Hope you enjoy it.
Cheers

Son and I rode that cobbled road about 7 years ago and have tried to find it again a few times.. Now we know which pass it is !

No problem @Jaws glad you got some use from the video! Cheers

We went over it a few times in the 60s, it was all there was. We had a A-H Sprite mk 2, when we got to the top (early spring) the road was just a stone track, and going down the disk brakes wore out, a Swiss Garage fixed them while we waited for less than it would have cost us at home. Happy days!

You might think that a Healey Sprite is not a motorhome, but it was in effect. Our first. We used to take the seat backs off, turn the seat squabs around so that they sloped from front to back, our heads inside the boot, and we ended up with 2 single level-ish beds. CampingGaz single cooker and a plastic washing up bowl. We couldn't do it now, or wouldn't want to.

Thanks for sharing mate! I wouldn't of been a thought in my parents eye back then but could only imagine how much more stunning the road would have been! Cheers
