Hi all just after advice on has anybody fitted the drip stop strips to Motorhome .As I’m looking at this option to try to stop the black streaks every time we have dirty rain lol mostly streaks on rear and front off the roof any info or pictures appreciated

I fitted a drip stop some time ago but it was to stop water dripping between the awning and the van. It was not difficult to fit as I remember.

Surely wherever you fit the drip stops you will just move the black streaks.

If you mean the drip strip between the awning box and the bodywork, we fitted one and it does work.

I thought this was another thread about the ignore button ?‍♂️

In medieval days they installed gargoyles.

Hi Dass
Where you tend to get the black lines could you not put an extra helping of wax to allow the water to travel faster.
It would not cure it but make it easier to clean of when you see a build up.
White motorhome I would imagine it's a problem for all.
Where mine is parked it's uphill and reverse it in so I am starting to see this on the back panel.

Hi interceptor yes I’ve got a load of polish on van but as we have this dirty rain it still appears to have black run marks mostly front and rear of van as I think the sides are protective from strip on roof but front and rear rain just runs off so I was thinking of fitting these drip strips to see if it sorts it out I know it will probably then drip off the side of these stripy but at least it won’t be all the front and rear lol

Hi a can't see the sprips you are thinking off.
Do you mean fit them across the width of the van to drain the roof of to the side.
Extending off the side i.e. sticking out?

Think he is referring to Fiamma drip strip. I have some above my doors to divert rain away from running in door when I open it.

Dammit! Something else I've got to buy that I didn't know I needed.

Yes for the Fiamma drip strip across front and rear width

Just looked it up on eBay
Can't see it doing any harm.
Try one and see how you get on.
If it's works do the other?

Fitted one on our last M/H straight forward as I just followed the roof line and Fiamma awning, it worked a treat as rain was coming down like a waterfall thru the gap twixt awning and M/H wall. over Hab door
