I'm a newbie
I just purchased a Draper Endoscope to help with a job on my Autotrail. I need to use the hotspot on my Android phone as i want to use it in remote locations. I can't get it to connect. If anyone can help I would be grateful

Does it need to connect.
Mine needs a WiFi signal but doesn't actually connect to the internet
Just plug in, look at the WiFi connection page and click on the cameras name when it appears .
Go back to the app and it should connect and show picture

That's something I can't get my head around, why does it need WiFi when the camera plugs into the phones usb/charger socket

My one has a USB lead but that is just for charging its battery.

Mine only has the one wire....semi rigid...which plugs in
No battery on mine.
The lead obviously provided power but it could also carry the video feed too doing away with the need for the WiFi connection.

My one (not Draper) needs a wifi connection. I have to turn the device on first and then on my iPad select the device as the wifi connection. It would be the same procedure for an android phone or tablet.

Have you still the instructions?

If not download and install the app "Wifi Check", Press the power switch, red light on, after 10 secs green light indicates wifi signal working, Plug in the camera, Turn on wifi on your phone after 15 seconds, name of "Wifi Check - XX" will show on your wifi list, Click it to connect automatically. Open the app, green light will flash to indicate wifi is connected.
