I you have a need to drain down the water system for the winter here are a few tips.
Open all taps, remembering the one on the water heater & the fresh water tank.
Switch on the water pump.
When all water has stopped flowing switch off pump.
If you have a shower compartment take off the shower head and blow down the pipe, you will be amazed at the amount of water that comes out.
This method is of course for a pressurised water system.
