Hello and welcome . Mobile internet is extremely easy these days . You require a mobile data signal ( a mobile phone can provide this via a hotspot ) ,to use the internet . This can also be provided via a MIFi dedicated stand alone mobile router which uses a SIM card the same as a mobile phone .
In my opinion the most important purchase is the data plan . I have an unlimited data sim plan as we have 3 children that stream to their iPads etc . Try and work out roughly how much data you require on a monthly basis
