VW Crafter self buil
Hi collective!

I have no idea how I’ve not stumbled across you before. We’re on our 2nd self build. I’ve caravan or camped since birth (36 now) and I’ve never been able to enjoy other types of holidays despite trying many a time. We bought a VW T4 (as Transporters are the cannabis of campervans. A starting point until you move onto the harder stuff for big boys) and we converted that and ran around the uk for about 7 years in it. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We then grew up and put out big boys pants on and bought an ex builders MWB crafter and set about converting that. We bought it last May and then took our first trip in September. It was a fair bit of work but we really enjoyed it.

As I type, I’m on a site in the Cairngorms as we’ve just finished a whistle stop tour of the NC500 in it. I tried to attach a pic of the van but it failed. Maybe because I’m on mobile and without a decent signal.

Anyway, despite doing what I thought was a lot of research beforehand, I’ve found that having probably spent (accumulatively) about 6 weeks away in the van, there’s things I’d like to change and whilst searching online this site/forum came up a few times with some properly pearls of the goat stuff, so I figured I’d join and may as well say hi.

Many thanks for having me,
Tommy P

As said you get a lot more from the forum as a paid member and with your experience could impart some good knowledge too.

You couldn't upload a photo because it's restricted to paid up members only.
Pay the subs and a lot of the forum is opened up to you.
Ah okay - makes sense. I’ll look at doing that then as a decent pool of info and discussion is worth paying for.

I corrected your error for you 🤣.

Jokes aside. Thank you.
