Adria Panel Van.
Exp
Since 1988
In previous vans, I’ve loved to sit under the awning, its one of my favourite places in the world to work or have fun. but the risk of any real wind would make Sian ask me to bring the awning in and I would have to come inside like a child called in from play. But now its different, we still have an awning but…

Since weve owned a panel van I’ve found my absolute favourite aspect is the big sliding door, the whole side of the van opens like your sat outside. Right now I’m sat here with the door wide watching a thunderstorm over Lake Garda, Awesome like under the awning without the hassle….Woosh Bangs Rule (y)

As long as your having fun that’s the main thing 👍. Thunderstorms seem to be all over at the moment, wish the rain would let up.

We all see the light eventually, just takes some longer than others.

Did you know on the electric sliding side door version, there is a “test” mode where it will open and close automatically ten times!

If anyone ever moaned about my Woosh Bang door, i‘d laugh at them, I’d set it in demo mode and take ‘Fang” and “Killer” out for a walk

Murvis have the ideal layout for that experience. No kitchen obstructing the opening and a long seat on the opposite side where you can both sit and watch the world go by out of any wind.

A lot of people now tend to close the door with a bit more care, but you still get the ones with several doors that have to be opened & closed at least a dozen times!

Our Globecar PVC has a whoosh, whir, click, sliding door, and a sliding mozzi screen. Said pain in the arse mozzi screen is deployed by the Navigation, Catering and Soft Furnishings Manager at the first sign of any flying insect🥺
Its amazing how invisible it becomes after wine has been taken.

Our Murvi Morocco has a long settee opposite an unobstructed side door. It's why we had to have the Murvi. No other van we saw came close to giving us that unobstructed view!

And we can close our door quietly 😂😂

The slightest breeze and the door on our previous coacbuilt slammed shut, love being able to leave the sliding door open in wind and to get the fresh air in. We are v conscious of the noise the door makes as it does need a slam, so only fully close it at night and when we leave the van unaccompanied.

We keep thinking about a PVC then start wondering where we would put all our stuff. I guess it would need a complete rethink but we're golfers. How do we carry our clubs? All answers gratefully received apart from the ones suggesting we ditch them.

Under the bed at the rear. Lots of models have lift-up beds for bikes and other sporting equipment.

If you are 6ft or less then a transverse bed gives you a massive garage. Plenty of room for a couple of golf bags.

Most people seem to carry them on their back!

We have quite a large garage under the beds in our Adria Twin.

I chose my WildAx Constellation for the wide open door view, which was the same arrangement as my 2 previous Autosleepers Symphonies. We seem to have lots of storage, not an issue for us.

Our door (like the previous poster) will only lock if given a good push to close completely. If we leave the van unattended and last thing at night it gets a good shove the rest of the time if it needs to be closed it gets pushed to without very much noise.
