Morning folks 😁

I am hoping someone here can help with a niggle which has developed with one of the blinds in our camper van.

I believe it is a Dometic/Seitz model although I can’t find any branding anywhere on it. It’s the version where a roller blackout blind comes up from the bottom and clips to a roller flycreen from the top. I’ve attached a photo which I hope will help.

The blackout blind has stopped locking in the top position. It does lock ok in the intermediate positions, just not the top, full blackout, position.

I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction before I start dismantling it to try to work out what’s causing the problem.

If you release the fly screen from the blackout screen, then you will be able to peek into the tracks on the side and get an idea of what's not happening with the blind locking in at the mid-position.

If you pull the fly screen down halfway to attach to the blackout then pull it all way up does it stay in position there?

I’ve had a good look but can’t see enough to spot the problem. I had hoped to see a ā€œtrackā€ with holes or slots that the sprung pins locked into at each level but, if there is such a thing, it’s hidden behind a very neat trim strip.

That’s the way I was advised to use the blinds by the dealer as it seems to help stop the blackout blind coming up unevenly. Unfortunately even when clipped to the fly screen it won’t stay in place in the top position
