Dometic LS500 vent cover (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know where I can buy a new vent cover? Mines gone missing! Online search says discontinued. Is there alternatives (do 2 smaller ones fit for example)?

You will have to be very lucky to find these large grills, yes they are discontinued and very very rare.
People who advise two smaller covers are mis informed as you need the large grill in place to attach the smaller winter covers.
Your only chance is going to be caravan, motorhome breakers, I speak from experience, having the sama size large vents .. Good Luck

I need winter covers for two fridge vents:

• Upper: 477 x 370mm (external measurement)
• Lower: 477 x 183mm

An LS200 would fit the smaller one and it sounds like an LS500 winter cover will fit the larger one?

Does anyone make replacement covers? Or will a pair of LS200 covers work?

Bit more Googling and I found Dometic advise 2 x LS200 as an alternative to the discontinued LS500.

thanks for the reminder (to order)!! Im after 2x LS200's myself!
I just need to find a seller that sells just the 200's in pairs (or alone rather than the sets that consist of a smaller vent i cant use)

Is this the right one for my dometic 8505???

Its a 300 not the 200 i thought i needed, but the dimensions are correct to cover the entire vent leaving a small gap at the bottom (i only have one vent on my MH)?

Be careful.. there is a LS 300 and a LS 330.. not sure what difference is... but they are very similar.

the dimensions listed for that LS300 look exactly right when I measured my vent (leaves a few millimetres at the bottom edge)

Really confusing when I understand a dometic 8505 is supposed to need the LS500 or 2x LS200.
Also I only have ONE exterior vent (low down) is there meant to another smaller one higher up?

Think (maybe wrong) that the LS330 superseded the LS500 which is no longer available.

According to a retailer, the LS300 winter cover is:

Suitable for vent with overall dimension of 520mm x 280mm.

The LS500 vent is reportedly 371 x 479mm externally.

I don't think you've quoted your dimensions?

Here are two files Dometic sent me this morning which explain winter vent cover sizing.

Vent cover vs the inner edge dimensions of the grill frame (see diagram in Dometic Winter vent guide.pdf):

• LS100: 371 mm x 130.5 mm
• LS200: 442.5 mm x 130.5 mm
• LS230: 353.6 mm x 303.6 mm
• LS300: 482 mm x 223 mm
• LS330: 401.5 mm x 223 mm
• LS500: Use LS200 2 covers per grill

I am using a black bin bag as a winter protection cover.

on my fridge side vents.
opened the vents spread the bin liner on the back then refitted it and trimmed off the access.

cost next to nothing…..

my post with my dimensions appears to have vanished for some reason? Cant remember what they were now.
But the WA300 is the one that matches what i need (and leaves a small gap at the bottom). I ordered one a couple of days ago, no idea why my post disappeared.

I am also searching for a L500 (LS500) vent (not the winter cover). Like all of you before me, I've found it out of stock everywhere.

Does anyone know of a breakers yard which might have a motorhome of this vintage (early 2000s). Long shot but that's all I'm left with. I'll message the 3D printing guy above but hard to imagine he'd have a way to print one of these. I do have one L500 left on my upper fridge, maybe there's a way to scan that and make a copy?!
