I know that this has been covered before but I have not found the answer in past posts

I checked the fridge worked on gas before we left, because while we are on EHU there are a few days when we want to go offsite and leave the van for a few hours, hence the need to occasionally run on gas

Pressing the ignition I cannot hear any “clicking”, but have not in the past either, but the indicator does not pass into the green. I have switched gas bottles and it has made no difference and the hob runs OK and lights with igniter

I don’t want to delve too deep as the van is still under warranty and is going in for a Hab check in 2 weeks, but would like to be able to run on gas occasionally for the next two weeks while we are away

Any quick fix suggestions? Is there a fuse for the igniter?

TIA

There is a battery behind the silver button you depress to ignite the gas
It could be its failed
I believe to remove you press the button in and turn anti clockwise

Thanks Neil S, Battery behind button - I think this might be my problem, but how do you get the battery out? Instructions on web says press button and turn through 90deg, anti-clockwise using a suitable screwdriver, but the button is smooth, and I cannot turn it

Finally got the battery out, by repeatedly pushing and twisting. The battery is fine, but in struggling to put it back together the button has popped further out and is now igniting the gas. It had obviously stuck in and it did not feel as though a press on it was having any effect

Many thanks 👍

Glad you got it sorted but I would also point out that the the little ‘lightning’ symbol on the igniter button must be vertical when in the correct position. I’ve found that, after checking the battery to see why there are no clicking noises, when trying to ignite, if I’ve put the button back in and turned it, sometimes I haven’t turned it far enough and the symbol isn’t absolutely vertical and it won’t work.
