Anyone seen this issue. Only recently started.

On mains only the fridge alarm beeps intermittently and eventually goes into a long alarm like when the door is left open.

The internal display which to be honest I've never noticed before is flashing constantly. EDIT - It's the internal light 🙄

It's meant to do this

It's an alarm to tell you to close the door, flashing light to give you a visual warning to catch your attention

No its not when the door is open. It does it intermittently but only on mains.

Are you by any chance abroad if so it's could due to low voltage. Looks like an 8000 series fridge they really don't like low mains volts.
Can you here the gas ignitor clicking?
That's another sign of low volts it trys to light the gas but as it detects mains the gas solenoid remains turned off, clever softwear - not.

No, sitting on the drive as having building work done. Just plugged in now and again to top up batteries and each time the fridge beeps. It's every 1 or 2 minutes but as soon as I switch to gas its OK?

That's a pain could be either a control board problem or possible the module on the back of the fridge that does the switching.
Does it do it on 12v as well?

Not that I've heard Lenny although we haven't travelled in the last few weeks

This problem with the 8 series fridges is normally caused by condensation on the door catch/light switch PCB and is sorted out by drying the board out , but It normally happens on all power sources not just mains but it may be worth checking this.
SiLo was on here with a similar problem last Friday at 8.26 am he dried out the PCB and it fixed his problem

Lenny HB It seems that even if I take the fridge off auto setting and manually select electric, after a few minutes of beeping it switches itself back to gas option.

Cheers, will have a look at that.

SiLo Anyone removed the plastic pcb and switch cover to expose the fixing screws, does it just pry off the 2 front plastic lugs as it seems to be locked on

It may be worth giving the reset button (!) on the right of the controls a press, if you have not already tried that.
Already done that multiple times 🙄

That happened to another funster Terry ,I think he just left his overnight switched off and tried it again in the morning and it was ok..just try switching off your ehu overnight, with the fridge off and try again in the morning.

Bustup15 If it helps there is a Dometic service manual for 8 series fridges in the resources section , Manuals for Motorhomes stuff , (including door switch removal) that you may find useful.

Cheers, I had downloaded that. It indicates the plastic cover is a seperate unit and can be removed but doesn't say how.

It's one of those things you fear will snap if anymore pressure is applied 🤔

It's definitely mains related. As soon as the batteries got up to 100% and I turned off the 240v supply the beeping and flashing stopped.

When on 240v supply the invertor can be on or off i.e. Charging only or charging and invertor on and the beeping occurs.

When not on mains the invertor can be turned on and doesn't cause any issues.

Is there any chance that there is a problem with the EHU / EHU lead or anything the builders are doing that could be causing a reduced power supply , as Lenny HB suggested earlier.
The manual says that the 240v connection into the fridge is directly into the power board at the rear of the fridge and maybe that is also worth checking , if you can get to it.

With the building work anything is possible 😂. I haven't noticed anything amiss in the house but will measure it tomorrow.

The transparent cover can be prised off. Ours came off fairly easily

No progress on this one yet. Measured the voltage on the suspect circuit for a few minutes at a steady 239-240.

Sparks are back tomorrow hopefully to finish their work including a new dB but we're away for 2 weeks on Friday so won't get a chance to test till we get back.

That does indicate its a control board problem as it should t do that. No physical switches all done by electronics.
Fingers crossed drying out the PCB works.

If drying the PCB does sort it I would give the PCB a coat of tropicalising varnish.
