A quick look through teh threads and seems there are a lot of Dometic Fridge issues.
Here i was hoping someone would say its just a reset and press this button!

So i have a RMS8505 fridge. It lights up shows the different aux, 240v, gas, 12v etc on display as normal. However it doesnt work now it just beeps. A constant beep approx 10 seconds apart.

Is there such a thing as an easy reset?
There is gas to the unit - cooker works
There is mains power - not sure about 12v as ive not run it on 12v.

Any suggestions or am i at a 'time for a new fridge' stage in time?

Appreciate any help.
Simon

I think you press and hold in the triangle warning symbol for a few seconds.
I often have an issue with air in the gas line after the bottle has been turned off for a while. The fridge tries to light on gas, fails and the warning bleeps and flashes.

Ours can take half a dozen attempts before it lights on gas if left for a few months, when used regularly it lights first time. As said, press the triangle each time.
When I bought the van back in 2019 several funsters and myself were trying to work it out, assuming a fault but as you say just needs a few attempts. My fridge is opposite side from the gas bottles so a longer run.

Broken most bits now
The 10 sec beep is usually the door not closed. I'd have a good look at the closing lock to make sure it all looks OK

Hi guys
It doesnt work on any option.
Would the door lock failure beeping stop the fridge from working then? if so i will have a look at that first.

I can understand the issue of trying to light it lots of times before gas kicks in but surely it would work straight away on 240v and that is whats throwing me. Unsure about 12v as ive never used it as its in a bus. Ive always pre-cooled on mains and then left it on gas on site to save my 12v power, plus cooling is much better on gas :)
