This might help you get by if you have a dodgy fridge burner. We just got camped up at Stow on the Wold after a fab 3fff rally at Drax. Allison said what’s that popping noise coming from the fridge vent. I pulled the vent cover off and thought all that was needed was a little brush off and blow out. No couldn’t be that easy in this heat could it
The burner had burnt/corroded at the jet end. Well after a bit of cleaning etc it was far worse it was struggling to light, Great I thought what now, well tin foil I thought that might just get it working enough. It worked
see photos. The cover that’s over the burner just pulls off and there’s a small torque screw holding the burner in place. Once off just wrap some folded foil around and refit. Fridge nice and cold again for now
. I’ve found a new burner unit for about £55 online or if anyone has any info on a cheaper one or how to fix the old one that would be great.
