In our previous Bessacarr with a large garage I did use non slip airiated matting in the rear 3/4 of the garage floor where I stood plastic crates full of items etc. I was mindful a full rubber mat May trap condensation underneath. The front bit was left as original so I could slide the chairs in and out with ease. This was easy as I could climb inside the garage to lift the boxes if I needed them out or just pick things out with ease. I would ratchet strap all the boxes for driving too but the mat helped

Our new PVC has quite a large under bed garage area but you cannot climb inside to lift anything out so everything will have to be slid. Does anyone use anything on their floor, under such boxes, that allows them to be slid out if needed and if so what?

Hey Roy. I built a plywood frame which fills the right 2/3 width and full depth of the garagE. This has sections to slide in 2 electric Brompton, 2 folding chairs, folding whirley, ramps, folding table. The silver screens slide in above which also holds the awning pole and a few other bits and pieces. On the left side of the ply structure I’ve fixed large hooks for hanging short and long hook up cables and other stuff.

On our recent trip to France we didn’t take the bikes so instead slid plastic crates into the bike slot for spare clothes, food etc. With the bikes we can slide the plastic crates into the left hand side.

That looks very organised Andy MacD 😊

Do you find those two shelves inside the cupboard useful, I did think they may be a bit hard to access with the doors. I had open manufacture’s shelving before which was great and easy to access

£4 carpet runners from Dunelm on the floor and sides, and plastic boxes……slide easily.

Bed mattresses are removed when not in use.(y)

Not a PVC but in the garage in my van I got rid of the non slip matting it was a pain in the butt. Made it difficult to move things around and it rucked up when you tied.
I replaced it with gel backed carpet, easy to move stuff around on and enough grip that things don't go flying about.

Ah, yes they are a pain. Bottom one is full of all this things I take but don’t need. Top one spare bedding and food as I can get to it from inside.
