Does anyone here own a Sunlight T65?

Hi, we just got back from a fab week in a rented Sunlight T68. Garage on this van was huge and probably more than we would need if we owned one. Sunlight do a very similar version, the T65, which is .5m shorter than the T68 and where most of the length reduction is achieved by ‘compressing’ the garage.

Would any T65 owners out there be willing to measure the internal width and height of their garage and post the results here please?

The specs on sunlight.de only give the garage door dimensions.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

We have contacted a couple of dealers but neither have a T65 available with none due in anytime soon. I also msgd Sunlight via their Facebook page, but no reply.

Were issues you had with your T67 Build quality related? We found the T68 to work very well for us even tho we know it is at the budget end of the Hymer brand. It was a 2018 model and seemed to have stood up reasonably well to the rigours of multiple different users.

I had a 2012 T67 and had engine snags (kept on breaking down and the dealer was very honorable and took it back) but in relation to the habitation side it was all fine.

At the time of purchasing the Sunlight I was also looking at one of the ex rentals from McRent. I believe it’s through Goodmans motorhomes.

Hello, this may help, our T66 garage is 800mm wide at floor level, widening at about 300mm higher up to 970mm, giving a ledge at the back to store chairs ect. it is 1180mm high. It's reasonably generous, but the weight limit is a bit slim at 150kg, as delivered. We had some extra chassis rails added ready for a rear scooter carrier at some later point, but it gave an automatic upgrade to 250kg in the garage, which we need. The T65, being transverse is probably quite similar. We also had a weight upgrade to 3700kg, again because we needed that extra capacity.
Ours came from Goodmans, no issues to speak of yet. I have a water ingress check booked for a couple of weeks time, but have been unable to find any with my hand held moisture meter.

Thanks BBF, this is very helpful. I feel more confident the T65 will be ok for us.

Still like to see one in the flesh tho, it seems they are not a common model for the UK.
