Hi Folks,
My son has a theory about car/vehicle ownership - which I agree with.
It goes like this.
When you park, do you lock up and just walk off, or do you lock up and as you walk off, you turn and look at your car/vehicle and 'check it out'? If you just walk away - you don't deserve to own it. If you look back, you clearly are a happy owner. When driving through a town, do you take a sneaky look in shop windows to see your reflection? When up on a castle or bridge, do you track down the car park so you can see your vehicle from a different angle - and perhaps take a photo?
I would go so far as to add, in your photo collection - online or hard copies, are there lots of shots of your Motorhome, or just the places you visit?

What do you think?

Never even thought about looking at a vehicle to admire, nor polish.

For me a vehicle, whether car or MH, is to get me to where I want, to do what I want.

Just spent 3 weeks around Greek island beaches - far too busy admiring the bay, girls and the taverna food to look at the bloody MH - it got us there from Poland, so that was all I asked of it - I don't want it to get a persona and have an ego!

Why would I look back, don't have flashy thingys when I lock them just turn the key, if I have them in my pocket it's locked.
Why would I want to look at it, IV seen it thousands of times.
Didn't understand the question till I saw some of the answers.
Any motor to me is just so much tin to get me about. (y)

ahh!! Robbie Gibson, I do remember him now tbh

the car, and i'm not blowing my own trumpet, (yes i am lol) won every show it went it, Stoneleigh, Malvern, Newark and quite a few more. It won best in show at Harewood House 3 years on the trot.

I reluctantly sold it as we were building the house we are in now so had nowhere to keep it for 2 years, I had enquiries as far as Australia wanting it and eventually sold it to a guy about 5 miles from me who up to about 8-10 years ago still has/had it. i had it 10 years and sold it with 4400 miles on it.

I remember Robbie, met him many years ago at a kit car show, when the owners club was active.

There are a couple of pics of my car on his website.

Is he still a Falcon owner?

Sorry if I wasn't clear - you look back to admire your vehicle.
I once watched a guy with a big red Italian sports car. He parked up, then walked off without a backwards glance - he was one who did not appreciate it.

It's a lump of metal I live in, and you're telling me I don't appreciate it.

I do look back occasionally, but It’s only to think how ugly and too big it is. I still love the comfort and freedom it gives us though, so it’s a keeper.

I polished the front of the van the other day at Blackpool, we were sunbathing next to it and the splattered flies were annoying me. So I got the waterless wax stuff out and sorted it. Then took a photo so I could admire my work remotely 👌😎
