Portsmouth Caen today. Held up because he hit the roof!!! Who’s at fault? Personally I’d say the driver. Due care and attention, etc plenty of signs saying 3 m but he was sent that side by loader and still went for it. Don’t think he’s going to be watching tv

We are close to 3m so always pay the little extra and book in as 4m, then if they try to shove us in under the top bay its their fault.

The trouble is the loaders can get quite stroppy if you don't watch them and do as your told, we had it a couple of years ago with the guy indicating to go to the right and me looking at the kerb mirror and getting told to watch him and go further right, cut a long story short it cost them £200 for a set of wheel trims.

IF he booked as 4M, the vessel`s insurers will be paying out. The loader will get a reprimand, the Loading OFFICER, will also be in the SH1T.
