I'm just planning a trip to Disneyland Paris, just wondered if anybody has any top tips.. as I've never driven in France before, and slightly worried ...

It is a fairly easy run to Disneyland Paris as it's autoroute all the way you just have to take your time and watch the signs once you have passed under Charles de Gaulle airport as you approach Paris.

We've done it a couple of times and it's an easy route. Are you planning overnighting on the Disney Car park, that's what we did. More details on overnighting can be found here

We're former annual pass holders, so have done this journey many times !
How we do it -
Leave Bristol around 5.00pm - four hour journey to Folkestone - arrive 9/9.30pm
Get 22.20 train to Calais - Arrive about midnight French time. Overnight at Cite Europe (literally 5min from tunnel).
Wake up early, visit Carrefour for some supplies, it's the most convenient stop on the route - they open at 8.30am, new filling station is just around the corner.
Aim to be on the road by 9.30am.
It's a good four hour drive to Disneyland - take the autoroute, toll is around 30euro. It's well signposted from Paris.
Contrary to popular opinion, Paris traffic and drivers aren't too bad, certainly no worse than the UK (perhaps better?)
We normally arrive around 2/2.30pm. We tend to park away from the entry promenade and other campers as it can be noisy.
Tips on the park -
Parks are much quieter after 7.00pm.
Use the fast pass system as much as possible.
Ratatouille has immense queues - arrive at 9.00am for the 10.00am scrum for fast passes. (personally, I didn't like it and think it's over-rated)
Drinks are incredibly expensive on the park, it's a huge money saver to take your own.
If staying for more than two days I'd recommend buying an annual pass, discounts in shops/food are good and you are entitled to free parking.
Buffalo Bill show is worth seeing - on first glance it appears expensive but taking into account the meal and drinks included, it's not so bad and it is good fun !
In winter the water taps are turned off, so drinking water can be an issue - go well stocked.
You can get water from the toilet/shower block sinks but I wouldn't fancy drinking it ! Useful for topping up the tank though...
There is a drive over waste point for coaches where you can empty grey and black waste.
There's a 'Casino' mini-mart just inside the train station, it stocks a few essentials and is far cheaper than the park
There is also a filling station at the park exit, again it stocks essentials and isn't too expensive.
It is possible to do the journey in a day (we have, several times) but it is hard work and a very long day...

Well worth visiting the Walt Disney studio next door also - the car show is good and the rock and roller coaster is a personal favourite.
As others have said, you can relax about driving in Europe, especially if you are using autoroute.
