We have been going to this show for many years but after today it might be our last. When we first started going there was a wide selection of motorhomes however we found very few motorhomes. In the past there were a few Hymers and Cathagos alongside some other quality continental vans. Burstner and Adria were present but where are the other quality vans.

We went yesterday and said the same a very disappointing show and won’t be going again. The traffic around the show didn’t help either it normally takes about 40 mins to get there but yesterday 2.15 hours total gridlock . Made me wonder why we paid nearly £20 to see what we could of seen for free at any good dealer

Last years pathetic showing was enough for us to decide we wouldn’t bother again. To be fair it was still miles better than the Stratford "show" a few years ago when we left home 40 miles away, parked up and saw the whole show then drove home in less than 2 hours.......

Oh bu**er, I'm going today!

Actually I've been before and thought the same and have missed the last 2 or 3 but thought I'd give it another try, and it's something to do in boring January.

We went yesterday and came to the same conclusions! The disappointment was lessened as we used the discounted CAMC tickets and needed a 'big shop' at Costco anyway. (y)

Our only purchase was the ACSI camping card for £11 - bargain!

If there is another way to it try to avoid junc 10 on the m60 before about 12.00 o’clock it was grid locked yesterday because I think of the tramway works around event city .

You can see the Trafford Centre from my mother laws lounge window yet even on a good day it takes half an hour to get there!

Stop the clock
Left at 9:29 back on sofa at 14:42 with 90 minutes round trip and 20 minutes for a brew and a butty whilst there

Make your own mind up

I've managed to get some free tickets (assuming they arrive today) so hopefully it'll be good value for money for me :-)

If it's rubbish I won't go again though

Haven't been for quite a few years, always found it disappointing, but was a day out for meeting up with friends.

Today's summary :
Only took the usual 20mins to get there, no traffic problems, but it's a good job I knew the way 'cos I didn't see any signs even for Event City. Took another 15mins going round in circles looking for somewhere to park as the car park for Event City was full. Managed to get one under cover 10mins walk away across all the roadworks.
The show itself is what I expected and I managed to stay 6 hours by watching a couple of presentations and sitting down a lot. At least there's plenty of seating, which is lacking at the NEC (unless you go in a cafe).
Took my own butties and drink following advice from @Trixie, who took her own to the NEC.
Went in loads of motorhomes which all had something I didn't like. (I'm quite satisfied with the one I've got actually!) However, saw a lovely Bessacar on my way out on the Lowdham stand.............;)

No I didn't buy. Bought a small stool/table from old faithful Seaflow .(y)
Remember, it's only a small show as it's all inside. It's a day out in January.
It should be cheaper to get in.
@GreenHell you'll get your moneys worth.:D

Well i spoke to a few dealers they told me this show is targeted at budget familes. I went and got free tickets and bought elsan blue 4 litres £10 bargain also had a look round nothing for me but enjoyed the look

I must admit we went about 10 years ago when we were very new to all this, and were very disappointed even then. It doesn’t seem to have changed much...

We have been to show today are A class Motorhomes a thing of the past we went to view some and we only found one all the rest were coachbuilt

A class motorhomes are more popular than they ever have been. So not sure why that was.

As stated I believe it is a budget based show and the word budget and A class don’t work together ;)(n)
Looked in a Roller .Team A class the other day and as I shut the passenger front door OMG !
The whole side wobbled like a jelly (y)
Total pile of ****

I saw at least 3 A-classes. 2x Roller Team Pegasos and a Burstner

We weren’t too disappointed. It only took us 45 minutes to get there from our house in North Lancs. We parked in the Trafford Centre because we were popping there afterwards.

Granted, it wasn’t a massive show. But, it was ok. Nice to see some foreign stuff there (Adria, Hobby, Sunlight etc) amongst a sea of Swifts and Elddis
