We are in the throes of specking up our new PVC but want diesel heating/hot water but are undecided as to wether to go for ebersbacher or webasto which is best or are they much the same any useful info would appreciated. Richard

I had eberspacher on my boat and it was very problematic and needed an engineer with box of tricks to sort it out on more than one occasion

Don't know much about the webasto but was told it's a better system by a few on the marina

Neither! Go for Truma, great!

We had diesel heating in our last van, it did the job but I could smell it even when no one else could.

I've had both, Webasto every time for me. I wouldn't have an Erbersplutter given to me.

I have been looking at the option of a Truma 6D in a pvc, are they any noisier than the gas version?

No, not at all, just about the same as the gas version. We had one in our last Globecar and wish we had it in our current van!

We had a D2 Eberspacher in our race van 7 years (never serviced:whistle:) no problems, never let us down. plus it was a SH ex BT unit.

Diesel heating Thanks to those who replied to my post will look at Truma
