Hi all, I’ve just replaced my Webasto heater with a Chinese version. Having done some research I’m confident these copies are safe and for the price, I have no idea how they do it. It’s been professionally fitted and tested leaving me with the job of pairing the remote with the control box. However, the method of pairing in the handbook doesn’t do anything. I’ve tried various permutations of button pressing, no ‘Ready to pair’ message has appeared as yet.
Has anyone successfully paired theirs yet or is the remote control destined to become an ornament?
The method in my book is to press and hold the Power & Settings button. Picture of the heater attached.
Thanks.

Does that method work if you have only got an uncle Phil and an uncle Charlie?

Make sure the battery in the remote is good. Mine worked straight out the box, no pairing needed.

My remote didn't have a battery in it as supplied. It's an unusual battery too, about the third of the length of an AA battery, but 12 volts I think ?

check out YouTube plenty of stuff for Chinese diesel heaters

There is a farcebook group for the Chinese heaters quite informative.
