Hi guys happy xmas and wishing you all a fab new year I just thought I would share some images of our latest project in our 2003 auto trail.I was asked by my dad what I would like for xmas so decided on a diesel heater from Ebay we spend around 6 hours doing the install yesterday and after completing it the results are amazing and can say I will never run gas heating again. The unit burns around 0.4 to 0.2 liters per hour depending on temp setting and we have a 10 litre tank realy impressed for £137.00 delivered View attachment 274053 View attachment 274054

Is it the 6kw version.
I was looking at them on various websites and installation does seem very easy with everything needed including the 10ltr plastic tank and main tank fittings if preferred.

Might be worth speaking to your insurers to be safe.... You just never know, they may refuse a loss claim if they aren't informed.

Hi there mine is the 5kw and yes it does come with the 10 litre tank but unfortunately I could not use the one surplyed as it would not fit in the locker so I ended up using a 10L
Add blue container from the local garage and fitter a one way cheak valve bought from pets at home £3.75 the valves are used in aquariums this is needed or the tank would collapse if a little air did not get in

To be fair I think its safer than the gas but they never asked when the insurance was taken out but good point

They won't ask, its up to you to tell them. They will probably not bother but better they have it on record than refuse a claim

They ask if any add ons.

Seems expensive to run compared to gas .
Nice job can't see it.

It’s like everything one size does not fit all. If you have limited gas or travel where it’s harder to exchange bottles it might be better for you then someone who stays on sites on ehu.
