When we got back from our most recent trip, the Schaudt control panel gave a "charge" warning for the leisure battery - which was a surprise as I had just driven 200 miles!

The next morning it was displaying normal with a good charge on both batteries.

One week later, with no interim engine starts, the Schaudt control panel was illuminated but the 12 volt system was completely inoperable (even the "always on" stuff such as the step) Several alarm symbols displayed and the panel was completely unresponsive. The panel light will not go off. However, the display of the solar panel system showed both batteries with a 90 per cent charge.

I connected to mains, within six hours the solar display shows both batteries 100 percent - but the Schaudt panel is still illuminated with alarms and completely unresponsive.

Yje vehicle systems seem to be completely unaffected.

The only thing I can think of to do now is to take the panel off and disconnect it in the hope that it will reset - or perhaps disconnect the leisure battery - but that involves removing the passenger seat which I wouldn't do myself.

Any thoughts or advice please - cannot afford a new panel right now as they cost several hundred £s - not to mention what the dealers would charge for labour :(

As with anything electronic first step is turn it off, or in this case unplug the panel, leave for ½hour then plug back in and switch on ..
nothing to lose by trying

Yep - after unscrewing the fascia I was able to make an intelligent gues as to which multipin connector carried the power. Unplugged it and the display went out. Waited a bit - reconnected the power - and all is (more or less) well. Had to reset every item of course and there is remaining confusion about the battery capacity - but at least everything is working now. Thanks
