Weve been pondering whether to sell the van for a little while, not getting much use out the old fella and opportunities to get away (even before covid!!) were slowly eroding for one reason and another. so were thinking of getting a smaller PVC, or even just a small camper for the odd night here and there...or even...on of those engineless things that we dont mention ;)

Anyhoo...just been away for a few days visiting family (sans van) and came back to this..now the dance with insurance...thatll be fun!!

Holy mackrel. That's awful. It's looking very low. Gee whizz. Sorry to see/hear this
i was only talking with my dad yesterday about needing to give the weeping willow a massive top cut as it is huge...little did i know that on Tuesday that problem had been solved!

Error, sorry “fat finger syndrome “.

Was aiming to give you a “hug” emoji, but commiserations anyway.

As you say looks like the weather has made the decision for you. Fingers crossed your insurance company play ball when it comes to settlement figure

Erm...sorry to be a doomster but..... that tree has a lot of dead wood in it. It is diseased and should have been cut down or cut back to avoid this event happening.

Well....that’s what your insurance company/ companies might say. They may say you have been negligent.

Or they may just pay up.

I feel your pain. We had a National Trust tree fall across our VW Beetle and Puck caravan causing £16k worth of damage. We even warned them it didn't look healthy but their insurers did not take any responsability so now going legal.

Ah! Even better...........OP can claim off them..
Nope, our tree, and it was fine, some dead lower branches but above that really healthy, too healthy really as it put on a lot of growth in the last few years, which is why i was goingbto get it topped this autumn
Tree surgeon chap has been and said the same. But quite a few big trees in this area got ripped out by the roots (litteraly) during the storm on tuesday.

God must have been listening in and decided you needed a helping hand, or wind in this case(y)
