A year with a motorhome
05 Cayman dash light and buzzer on intermittently. Replaced new alternator & belt plus new house and chassis batteries but that did not resolve dash light issue. Need some ... ideas....

Have you checked the voltage at the starter battery with a multimeter to see if the alternator charge is actually getting to the battery?

Yes everything is charging*

playing parts darts is an expensive game you need to find what the problem is multi meter is the best way your hab batteries are unlikley to cause this have you checked the earth straps connections etc

Have you tried an OBD reader.
There should be a stored fault and may need clearing before the light extinguishes.

if everything is charging it must be a fault in the light circuit its self not sure if at that age it direct or via the ecu
they used to work by when the ignition comes on there is a live to the light which earths down through the alternator once the vehicle starts then 12 is delivered to that wire and because both side are 12v the light goes out

Without a full understanding of your problem, it would seem that there is a power leak. Rather like poor earths on older cars when lights could stay on, even when everything was turned off. I am thinking that at 15 tears old, such things can occur.
