Thinking of buying an memory foam double size mattress which is 20cm deep. This will have to be cut to shape to fit our "French" bed. Has any one had a go at this? If so what advise can you offer?

We cut our one at home from super king down to king. No problem just used a good Stanley knife.

Contact Ace Foam and see what they will charge to supply the whole thing ready cut. You just send them a paper template.

Cut ours using a big sharp kitchen knife

Your memory foam mattress will never forget that you cut it, and one day it will seek revenge..

I used a bread knife. Made a pigs ear of it, still with a mattress protector on you can't see it.
