Cupholders in Ducato II 2002-06?

We have a 2005 Fiat Ducato, one thing I do not like is the lack of cup holders, or rather coffee holders in the cab. What do you guys have to solve this situation?

We have a 2012 Ducato based van and still no decent cup holders.

I can't understand why a van would not have a cup and bottle holder

There are massive pockets for 2ltr pop bottles in the doors (or piss bottles that builders throw out on the motorway), but nowhere for a tasty beverage! I have fitted a tilting holder to that stupid notepad holder thing in the middle of the dash. But our little un sits in the passenger seat and I don't want a hot drink there incase it spills on her.

Ideally you should pull over and have a hot drink ,then you wouldn'trisk burning yourself or your little un .
A nice cold can of coke however is acceptable ! Hence the bottle holders

We would never get anywhere as I'd be stopping every ten mins! Has to be coffee, reading the back of lorries sends one off to sleep!

Don't drink coffee while driving. But on a more serious note we find adequate storage space for a couple of small bottles of water and my passenger even has an air conditioned glove box to put her bottle in so she drinks chilled water!

have been hoping that someone would come up with something that would wedge into the top of the large door pockets to hold cans or bottles at a handy height..
medication that i take makes my mouth very dry, so having a drink to hand to sip while driving would be so handy and am sure that i'm not alone in that..

I don't get it. Perhaps a working life spent dealing with insurance claims has made me look at things from a different angle always thinking what could go wrong, but surely drinking hot coffee whilst driving is just asking for trouble?

Agreed - with the exception of substituting "anything" for "hot coffee".

So, so far we have established that no one has fitted cup holders t a Ducato II and that it's frowned upon to drink while the vehicle is moving.

I've got one if those in my Fiat 500L , we've also got one in Pug. ( our new boxer that Ralphs converting) I'm sure both will dne in handy in the summer.

One of these on each door - screwed on at the end near the dashboard. They work well as long as the dog doesn't chew them Been using them for 2 years now.

I've got this shelf thingy, bought at a show. Fits on top of the open glovebox so I can still stick loads of stuff in that! Gets in the way a bit when you want to get in the back but just be careful!

I've got loads in the door, on top of the dash (where the cab heater turned on windscreen keeps it nice and hot for ages) and low down on the centre console + I have 3 places designed to take large bottles both in the lower console and doors. Ain't I lucky

I think I'm right to say that the 'new' Ducato cab comes complete with cup holders.
But changing your motorhome so that you can enjoy a drink is probably a bit extreme.

Just a tad yes! I'm going to make an arm splint for the little un and fabricate an oven glove/cup holder type thing so she can just hold it for me. So long as she doesn't drink any mind!

We have a 'home-made' cup/mug holder that was fitted to our 2004 Ducato when we bought it. It appears to be a soap/shower gel holder that has been modified and is fixed with suction cups to the lower part of the fixed part of the drivers door window. It is very secure and doesn't obstruct the mirror. Images attached...

The bicycle holders will hold bottles of water or cycle drink containers or a can of fizzy.

The insulated mugs will hold tea or coffee.

We tend to use the cycle drink holders most.

Both very cheap solutions.

We have the same cab/ same problem. We have one of these on the floor under the dash:

It doesn't move AT ALL.
We usually have 2 water bottles, a tube of pringles, & a packet of hobnobs in it.

Thanks guys. I ordered this fold away cup holder from Amazon, was about £5, it's designed more for cans so I filed the hole out a bit for the wider coffee cups. Fixed it using M4 nuts and bolts, using a nut as a spacer on the bottom two holes so it sits more upright. I figured putting it on this fuse box cover is best as its out of the way on my side, well away from my leg area and I can always swap this cover easlily if I want to take it out again. I drilled the back of the holder with a 16mm bit so I can get the cover screw out easy.
