Cross Germany route - areas worth more time. (1 Viewer)

Wee find ourselves with 9 days to cross Germany from Alsace to Bautzen, E. Of Dresden. We normally do it in 3 days so are not equipped with touring info.

Our route is Offenburg A5 A6 A9 A72 A4.

Can anyone please suggest areas along that route which are worth a couple of days meandering and which I can put more effort into researching.

We leave tomorrow for first stop 30-40kms N. of Offenberg.

We were going to come back along the Main river which is somewhat in your way.
Decided against it as will do it another time and all of a sudden fancied Heidelberg so complete change of mind.
